Huawei Nova 2s with dual front and rear camera announced


Huawei has announced Nova 2s in China featuring a near bezel-less design with minimal bezels on the sides and a large screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. Even though the lower chin has slim bezels, Huawei has managed to squeeze in a home button, like the Honor V10 that doubles as fingerprint scanner. Overall the design is similar to Honor V10, but Nova 2s has a premium looking shiny rear panel. It runs Android Oreo based EMUI 8.0, and gets dual front and rear cameras.

In terms of specifications, the Huawei Nova 2s features 6-inch Full HD+ diaplay and is powered by an last year's flagship octa-core Kirin 960 processor further aided by IntelliSense i6 sensor i6 sensor hub. It comes in three RAM/storage configurations: 4GB/128GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB, and the storage is expandable via microSD.

The camera department includes dual rear cameras consisting of 16GB RGM sensor and a 20MP monochrome sesnsor with f/1.8 aperture/PDAF for capturing depth information and also has potriat mode. On the front there's 20MP+2MP dual selfie camera for depth of field bokeh effect. The selfie camera also get a selfie flash and support face recognition.

Connectivity features include dual-SIM (hybrid slot), 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. It is fueled by 3340mAh battery.

The Huawei Nova 2s comes in Black, Gray, Red, Rose, Gold and Blue colors. The 4GB/64GB Nova 2s has been priced at CNY 2699 ($408 | Rs. 26,300), while the 6GB RAM/64GB model costs CNY 2999 ($454 | Rs. 29,200). The 6GB/128GB model is a special Yixing Zhang Edition and costs CNY 3999 ($514 | Rs. 33,000).
